On September 28, 2024, the opening match of the Tver Region Hockey Championship took place in Konakovsky municipal district. The teams «Russian Bears» born in 2010-2011 and «Staritsa» born in 2010-2011 met on the ice. The president of the TROO «Hockey Federation» Dmitry Miroshnichenko threw the puck.
